The second day in Ireland we headed out to the county of Galway, in search of the greatest pub in the world - the O'Grady pub. We made a stop in Galway city to stretch our legs and go shopping:
....and then headed to the quaint little nothing town of Gort where we reached the O'Grady restaurant and bar, a favourite stopover for people traveling from Galway to Shannon, or for people traveling to the Cliffs of Moher.
The O'Grady's of course, are my loving, wonderful, super good-looking family who I am obsessed with; my Irish roots stem from the area surrounding this, from many, many moons ago. I was blissed out to see so much stuff O'Grady's all over the world have created... mostly in the form of drinking establishments, but still! LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEDD IT!
After a lovely, easy morning on the road we hit a small glitch trying to reach the Cliffs of Moher. Our handy navigational device, Pat, kept playing tricks and leading us to dead ends. Unacceptable. At one point I threw a hissy fit and made Jocelyn pull over and threw the GPS at her. That went over well, as you can imagine. Fortunately, we played around with it some and got it working after only a short time, and we were on our way.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Cliffs of Moher:
