Portobello Market is an old antiques market in the very posh area of Kensington and Chelsea. It goes on for miles and miles and is broken into various sections (clothes, food, jewellery, antiques, etc).
We toured quickly through Kensington Gardens (revisited in more detail later) past the former home of Princess Diana (Kensington Palace) and made our way to Portobello Road to find the market. We (Jocelyn, Alexis and I) were joined by old friend Sam (former Wilm teach, now teaching & living in Greenwich, lucky girl). It was such a splendid day out - nice, warm, light jacket wearing weather in March, and that lovely ball of fire in the sky we'd all been missing so much (the sun!)
