Dani does Easter Sunday in Kensington Gardens

When Easter was rolling around and we had nothing planned, we decided to get some girls together and have a picnic. We brought loads of food, and even some wine (shocking, I know) and had a lovely Easter Sunday in Kensington Gardens.

After our beautiful picnic, we went in search of the Peter Pan statue. JM Barrie put up this Peter Pan statue in the middle of the night one night, without anyone knowing, so it appeared as if by magic, exactly where Peter Pan lands in the story. It is a bit hard to find, but we managed and got in line with the various children waiting to take pics with Peter. Never grow up!

After that mission was complete we decided to test the rumour we had heard that you could walk clear across London (from Chelsea to Westminister) by walking through the Royal Parks, as they are all connected. This is how we spent Easter Sunday, strolling through Kensington Gardens, into Hyde Park, into Green Park, past the Canadian War Memorial in Green Park, through Canada Gate past Buckingham Palace (surrounded now by pressboxes for the Royal Wedding on Friday) and then into St. James Park, ending up in Westminister, at Trafalgar Square. Who knew you could walk through the parks to get across? Such a beautiful idea! Much better than the Tube on a lazy, gorgeous Sunday.
