Dani, Landon & Jocelyn discover all Gravesend has to offer

En route from Brussels to Scotland, Landon decided to come and see us Dartford girls.

Jocelyn and I went to pick him up from the Gravesend train station.
Gravesend is this little dumpy town (much like Dartford, only even smaller) about 10 minutes away. It is very much a no-horse town with not much to do.
While waiting for Landon's train to arrive, we decided to stop in to the local pub (directly across the street from the train station) and have a cold beverage. We were automatically out of place in this pub, as clearly every one else was a regular and a proper local. We walked over to the only open table and went to sit down to find that one seat had already been reserved - for a cat no less! Jocelyn and I had a good laugh over the fact that anything goes in England pubs.
Pretty kitty!
Suddenly we realized Land would be here in 2 minutes and we still had full beers. There was nothing left to do but CHUG!
We picked up Land from the train, and had about 20 minutes before our train back to Dartford, so we headed back into the same bar for another pint. We sat at the same table with our cat friend, still sleeping peacefully beside us. Landon sat next to the cat, and was warned by the bar owner to let the cat stay there. Hilarious. We ordered another cold beverage, and after chatting a bit saw our train arrive at the station. Again, we had full beers, so again we had to chug!

Thinking about it in retrospect, the people at the bar must have thought we were awfully strange. Two girls walk into a bar, sit down, chug a beer and walk out. Same two girls come back with a guy, sit at the same table, slam another beer and leave. What were they thinking?

Back on the train Jocelyn inspired Landon with her teaching stories. And once back in Dartford Kari provided the entertainment for us! <3
