Upon arrival back to London from Cambridge, we sprinted out to the Putney to see our very first professional football match! Very exciting.
It was an FA Cup match - Fulham Vs. Tottenham. Tottenham Hotspurs being one of the main teams in the Premier League, they were obviously favoured to win, but since we were sitting on the Fulham side, we had to cheer for the home team (very dangerous not to, in the sport, abd in this country.) It ended up working in our favour as Fulham upset Tottenham 4-1! Amazing. You can imagine the atmosphere in the stadium as the home team upset a giant! Unreal. We were seated two rows away from the goalie on the home side. So close we could taste the intensity.
The disappointing thing about football is that beer cannot be served in the stands (so you drink in the outside of the stadium, but you cannot bring your beer to your seats). Damn soccer hooligans, spoiling our basic privileges!
